I bambini e l'arte. Confronti 1, tecniche ed esplorazioni Although this volume does not directly contain my work, this time I am curator of the proceedings of the conference held in Venice at the end of the series of exhibitions "Stories of Children". The book is published by the Artebambini publishing house and financed by the MANN, National Archaeological Museum of Naples. It contains highly prestigious interventions that have aroused great interest from specialists and the public.

From the 25 th of March until the 30 April th in Florence After the Neapolitan stop, the exhibition continues in Florence, in the prestigious seat of the new Museo degli Innocenti. The Institution, designed by the great Filippo Brunelleschi, was built in 1444 thanks to the patronage of the Silk's Art corporation and thanks to generous donors during the centuries and it was the first innovative place dedicated to hospitality. At the end of the fifteenth century, the Spedale had more than two thousand children welcomed. As a Florentine myself, I was happy that this place hosted the exhibition Storie di Bambini in a room of Brunelleschi.

Even if for a limited time, we had the opportunity to organize some events, the theater with "Storie di Bambini Show", the cinema, some workshops and meetings in Florence too.

Furthermore an important conference "Beyond the frontier", identity and vision of childhood between literature and illustration, collected the best Italian and foreign experts in children's literature.

Exhibition at Moulins from 13th October,2012 to 20th January,2013 The exhibition "Le dessin en jeu" was inaugurated on the 12th of October at the Museum of Children's Illustration, MIJ, in the presence of the authorities, a large audience and my best friends. Some 180 original drawings are on display, taken from the 2,906 which I donated to the museum in October 2010, enclosed in the suberb interior and exterior set designing by the italian artist and sculptor Michele Iodice. I have provided an emblematic title for each of the three parts which retrace my career, which are evoked by selected poems: Ephemeral (text by Ovid), Persistence (texte by Leonardo da Vinci), Present-Future text by Patti Smith

The exhibition 1 The five beautiful halls of the Museum, where my exhibition takes place, are improved by the stage design which has been conceived by the Neapolitan artist Michele Iodice. The metal structures clear the walls, the central lighting avoids glass glares and white printed curtains complete the hall spaces.

A cover I designed the cover for the next issue of Andersen (Italy) magazine that is due out in September. Here's a preview of it. It was a really enjoyable job and Anselmo Roveda and I understood each another perfectly! Inside the magazine you'll also find an article by Walter Fochesato about my work. Enjoy!

A new publication: "La Mitologia" (second volume) "La Mitologia, gli eroi e gli uomini" (Mythology, heroes and people) (volume 2, texts by Laura Fischetto, Edizioni Lapis, Roma) will go on sale in the Italian bookshops in September. The first volume, entitled "La Mitologia, le avventure degli dei" (Mythology, the adventure of the gods), came out in January and has been excellently received. I am so happy that Italian children can read these beautiful stories in its truest, freshest and most exciting version!

Latest! La Mitologia (1st volume) That's it! The return that I announced a year ago is here! Here is the first publication: The Italian publisher (Rome) is currently bringing out the 1st volume of "La mitologia, le avventure degli dei", the 2nd "La mitologia, gli dei e gli uomini" will be released in October. The edition of this old book is really beautiful, the format has been expanded and the "hollandaise" cover means it is easier to read than with a bound cover. The price to the public is also very reasonable (11.50 €) for a book that has 176 illustrated pages. Culture for all!

LATEST NEWS….IT'S A FIRST! It is time that my 2,906 original drawings which have followed my wanderings exposed to the four winds, in the true sense of the expression, take their leave of me to moor in a safe harbor. And so this past September 3, in the presence of the president of the Allier Conseil général Mr. Jean-Paul Dufrègne, elected officials, and Madame Emmanuelle Martinat-Dupré, head of the Center's scientific department, I signed the document donating my works to the prestigious Centre de l'Illustration de Moulins which wished to acquire them . I had at least ten reasons for this decision, decision which could seem to be a somewhat unwise one. My dear friends, I would like to explain all this to you in more detail so if you have any questions or would like to know more about this donation, please do not hesitate to go to the section "Contacts" on this same site where I will be most happy to answer you. Please know also that in spite of my donation, I still have the right to freely dispose of my drawings and that of course I continue to work and to produce new drawings. A new donation perhaps? Hoping to hear from you soon.

Donation to the Centre de l'illustration de Moulins August 12, 2010 On the occasion of receiving the following press release from the Centre de l'illustration de Moulins (Moulins Center for Illustration), I am eager to add this latest news to my website. I am very touched by the consideration shown my work by the Center, as beginning on September 3, 2010, the totality of my work will become a part of the center's permanent collection, protected and preserved, and in France! Why not my native country? You will learn why now!
Letizia Galli…imagined she would donate the totality of her originals to an Italian museum but in fact she has chosen to donate the 2,900 drawings—all of her work—to the Centre de l'illustration located in the city of Moulins, patrimony of the Allier Conseil général. She has until now conscientiously kept this work protected in her many successive studios since her first work as an architectural student. These drawings, so delicate and poetic, will considerably enrich the collection of the Centre de l'illustration.
The talent of this artist has already been recognized in many retrospective exhibitions, from Tokyo to London, from Naples to Moscow, from Sarmede to New York, as well as at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris and in Trouville. But, as Letizia Galli explained during her first meeting with Roland Fleury, vice president of the Conseil général in charge of culture, "In Italy, there is no comparable establishment such as the Centre de l'illustration."
This donation is in fact a first for the Centre de l'illustration which was opened to the public in October 2005, and is noteworthy recognition of the Center's work to preserve and promote original illustrations created by artists for children's books. Letizia Galli, who has been connected from the beginning of her career to the world of illustration, hopes that this donation will contribute to making the Center well known beyond the borders of France, and already is counting on the Center being present at the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna, a major event for the whole profession.
With this donation, Letizia Galli attests to the Center's increasing influence, now recognized as a major cultural center. The Center will certainly in the near future pay tribute to its generous donator.
The donation by an Italian illustrator to the Centre de l'illustration: Letizia Galli has made a donation of more than 2,500 original works.
